Our History

60 years of experience across
the property and investment sectors

1932

The eponymous founder, Mr. John Fletcher, first established his business John H. Fletcher Customs Agents in 1932. In 1954, the business changed hands to its current family ownership and began to grow rapidly, becoming one of the largest private agencies in NSW.

1960

In the 1960s, John Fletcher began evolving into what it now famed for; making its first major strides within the real estate realm. Over the course of the next 40 years, John Fletcher was subdivided into two main divisions: A Customs and Transport division and a Real Estate Investment division.

1980

In the early 80s, John Fletcher Properties saw its first collaboration, making its first property investment in Queensland with John de Martini which ultimately led to a formal partnership: Namely, DeMartini Fletcher Property.

2001

August 2001 saw the company transform into what it is today when the Transport division was sold and the group made real estate investment its main focus. Thus re-branding to John Fletcher Properties (JFP).

2007

In 2007, John Fletcher Properties began to diversify by buying listed securities. The public and private equity division has since grown to be the third most profitable of John Fletcher’s five divisions, with the investment portfolio now expanding across multiple sectors.
